Our Product Design Engineering degree programme will provide you with the skills and expertise needed to work in specialist areas such as product design, Prodesign engineering, UX and UI design, lighting design, lifestyle design, entertainment and game design, sport product design and other associated sectors such as assistive technology, robotics, physiology monitoring, m-health, and e-health. We are recognised for our high-quality teaching, excellent facilities and unique interdisciplinary opportunities. We regularly partner with leading brands to offer students the chance to develop their professional orientation by working on real-world creative briefs that place strong emphasis on the effective presentation of ideas. The programme gives students the ability to develop and adapt to new technologies and meet the needs of industry, by being aware of the professional and ethical responsibilities of design engineers.
A professional Product Design Engineer needs a strong foundation in both design and engineering principles and their application in the Product field. This degree programme develops expertise in electronic systems, microprocessors, embedded systems, anatomy, sensors, actuators, programming, artificial intelligence, and human movement analysis within the scope of the user interface materials knowledge, sustainable approaches and the user experience and sensory activation These skills are honed through Product Design projects during the degree, including the final year BEng Major Project.

To study a degree at London Met, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. The tuition fees for year 1 of this course are charged at £10,050 per year for Home/UK full time students and £2,510 per 30 credit module for Home/UK part time students. The following academic years will be charged at the government capped rate.
Please note, in addition to the tuition fee there may be additional costs for things such as equipment, materials, printing, textbooks, trips or professional body fees. Additionally, there may be other activities that are not formally part of your course and not required to complete your course, but which you may find helpful (for example, optional field trips).
