Shape a world you're proud of. Our groundbreaking integrated architecture degree meets essential professional body standards via a condensed four-year route.
If you're excited by buildings, cities, and how people experience spaces, this is where your journey begins.
Our Integrated Master of Architecture is an innovative four-year route into architecture practice, where creativity, sustainability, and technology collide. You'll condense your undergraduate and postgraduate architectural studies into four years, instead of the standard five, while still meeting the standards set by industry professional bodies.
You'll learn by doing. Expect buzzing studios, big ideas, and hands-on projects from day one. From drawing and modelling to testing and refining your designs, you'll explore how architecture can shape everyday life. You can also take a placement year where you'll gain first-hand experience and insight into how architects design spaces that work for people and the planet.
As part of this architecture degree, you'll:
Take on inspiring studio projects that solve critical social and environmental challenges
Explore modules on architecture history, theory, design principles, and external forces shaping the built environment
Build essential creative and technical architecture skills - through drawing, modelling, and digital tools - alongside strong transferable competencies
Develop your own architectural style and identity
Learn to think like a professional: balancing aesthetics with functionality, material choices, sustainability, and zero-carbon targets
This course challenges you to think creatively, ask bold questions, and develop the skills to design a better future.
Find out more
Architecture is about more than buildings. It's the ideas, communities, and belief that great design can change lives.
Gain vital industry accreditation
Our integrated degree in architecture is accredited by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) - subject to consultation (due February 2026). This means you'll develop the creative flair and professional foundations needed to continue your journey in becoming a confident, responsible architect. Validation by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is expected from 2027, with our first graduating cohort.
Experience your future
You can also take a placement year between your third and fourth year. This is your chance to step into practice, build your portfolio, and start your Professional Experience and Development Record (PEDR) - a key step towards qualifying as an architect.
Contained awards
If you decide to complete your studies after three years, you'll choose to graduate from one of three contained awards:
BA (Hons) Architecture
BA (Hons) Architecture in Ecologies & Environment
BA (Hons) Architectural History & Theory
