Course summary

In this course focusing on creating digital video content and its application in live performance events – and also exploring the potential to develop VR and AR design – you’ll work as a key creative in live and virtual productions alongside professional video supervisors.

Take a deep dive into producing immersive video designs for live and virtual performances that stir the imagination of audiences and push the limits of technical possibility. Throughout this course, you’ll create content for video and examine video mapping techniques while learning a variety of related technical production skills. Depending on your specialism – which you’ll have the freedom to really explore here – you have the opportunity to develop work that encompasses augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.

As a video design student, you’ll work as a key creative in live and virtual College productions alongside professional video supervisors operating at the top of their field. You’ll also be introduced to the industry through placements during both years of your training, helping you to forge links for future employment.
