MA Performance: Screen at Central Saint Martins develops your voice as an independent filmmaker and screen-based performance maker. You will explore the meeting point of performance and moving image through an experimental studio culture, testing how bodies, cameras and spaces shape meaning on screen.
You will combine critical frameworks with hands-on production, building skills in single and multi-camera directing, dramaturgy, cinematography, lighting, sound recording, editing and colour grading. Collaboration is central, with opportunities to work across communities and contexts while examining questions of representation, participation and the ethics of image making.
Graduates leave with a distinctive body of work and the confidence to operate across contemporary film and performance landscapes.
