Course summary

The Level 4 HNC lays the foundation of higher learning in mechanical engineering. This develops and strengthens core skills while preparing students for specialist subjects at Level 5 or to enter employment and will be competent in a range of subject-specific and general skills and qualities relevant to key areas of engineering.

This HNC is specifically designed for students wishing to progress in mechanical engineering. It provides a good grounding in Engineering whilst providing a specialism at higher level in a range of mechanical subjects.

All units are supported by industry experienced staff in purpose built labs extensively equipped for this subject area.

This course is one day a week for two years.
