You'll develop expert knowledge of the latest modern developments in sound, vibration and signal, whilst you study at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR).
You'll study engineering acoustics, vibrations in structures, applied signal processing, underwater acoustics, and human effects of sound and vibration.
You can choose a general pathway of Acoustics and Vibration or specialise further in either a Signal Processing
or Structural Vibration pathway.
You'll graduate with the skills needed for a career in acoustical engineering or for continued study at PhD level. Acoustical engineers are in great demand. Previous students now work in industry and consultancy covering roles in noise control, building acoustics, audio engineering and much more.
You'll work on a wide range of real-world applications during your Master's, preparing you for your career. You can study this Master's without prior knowledge of acoustics.
