Accelerate your career in motorsport with our BSc (Hons) Motorsport Technology top-up degree. Designed for students who have completed the FdEng Motorsport Engineering, this one-year course takes your technical expertise to the next level, preparing you for high-performance roles in motorsport and automotive industries.

You’ll study advanced modules in powertrain engineering, mathematical modelling, and undertake an industry-relevant research project. Specialise in Aerodynamics & Racing Car Design or Motorsport Management & Performance, tailoring your learning to match your career ambitions.
Based at our Shoreham Airport Campus, you’ll train in exclusive facilities with access to race vehicles, performance engines, and cutting-edge technology. From CNC lathes and 3D printers to CAD, FEA, and CFD software, you’ll work with the same tools used by professionals. You’ll also benefit from strong industry links, guest lectures, and access to University of Brighton’s wind tunnels and optical research engines.

And it doesn’t stop at the classroom. Join Team Northbrook Racing and compete in the Student Motorsport Challenge as part of the CityCar Cup Championship. Gain real-world, high-pressure experience racing at legendary circuits like Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Donington.

Mature students who don't meet these standard entry requirements may be able to show us their potential through relevant experience. Applicants whose first language is not English and who do not have GCSE English will be asked to take an IELTS assessment or equivalent and will need to achieve an overall score of 6.0, with 6.0 in the writing element and at least 5.5 in all other sub elements.
