Modules
MODULES
Applying Effective Strategies: This module aims to introduce students to the essential principles of strategic decision making and elements of effective operations management. It will explore how innovative strategies contribute to the achievement of a sustainable competitive advantage, also studying examples of effective operations management that will provide knowledge that can be applied to any size and type of business.
Managing People and Employment Rights: This module will provide a practical understanding of how employment law affects individuals and its impact on the workplace and wider society, giving you the knowledge and understanding to advise managers about the potential legal consequences of the HR decisions they are taking. The purposes of employment law will be explained, how it is made and enforced, and how managers should act within the workplace to ensure compliance and to reduce the risks to managers associated with litigation from existing and former employees.
Business Research Project: This module is for you to demonstrate the application of knowledge and skills gained during the undergraduate programme of study. This will be by developing and implementing a project based within your organisation. This approach will extend and enhance your confidence and learning and will develop key business competencies. It is the perfect opportunity to showcase your learning.

Assessment method
Assessments are varied, encouraging application within your business/current role. Inclusive of case studies, management reports, research reports, work-based projects, group and individual presentations and reflective writing.
Teaching and Learning
We offer workshops and support sessions in areas such as academic writing, effective note-making and preparing for assignments.
