Course summary

The Level 4 HNC lays the foundation of higher learning in electrical engineering. This develops and strengthens core skills while preparing students for specialist subjects at Level 5 or to enter employment and will be competent in a range of subject-specific and general skills and qualities relevant to key areas of engineering.

This HNC is specifically designed for students wishing to progress in electrical engineering. It has a range of units focussed on electrical engineering with an emphasis on Power. It provides a good grounding in Engineering whilst providing a specialism at higher level.

All units are supported by industry experienced staff in purpose built labs extensively equipped for this subject area.

This is a Fulltime route with all content delivered in one year.

Various trips to support modules may be offered throughout the year dependent on company availability. Previous trips have included manufacturers, automation plants and power stations.
