Our BSc Hons Occupational Therapy course is a hands-on degree which will help you become a confident and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT).

Occupational Therapists help people take part in activities that matter to them. You’ll learn how everyday activities impact health and wellbeing, and how you can help people improve their lives.

Learning in the classroom and out on placements, you’ll develop the skills needed to work across:

  • hospitals

  • schools

  • rehabilitation centres

  • private practice

  • community environments.

Our experienced team will support you to develop your critical thinking and creativity. You will study with other healthcare and social care professionals, reflecting the teamwork and collaboration that is central to contemporary practice.

The course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the Royal College and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.

After graduation, you’ll be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist. You’ll work with people of all ages, helping them to live meaningful, independent lives. You will support them to overcome challenges and achieve what matters to them.

Year 1: HNCs in Occupational Therapy Support, Health Care, Social Care, Social Services, Social Science or Healthcare Practice are considered.

Year 2: HNC Occupational Therapy: Support from Glasgow Clyde College. Applicants from this HNC can be made for year 1 or year 2. Applicants who wish to enter at year 2 will be required to attend interview as part of the admissions process.

Access to HE Diplomas in a relevant subject (i.e. Health Care, Social Care and Science based) are considered.

Accepted as equivalent to one Higher at grade B as part of the overall grade profile of Highers required for entry. Any essential subjects at Higher should still be achieved in addition to the Foundation Apprenticeship.
