Course summary

As part of our on-going commitment to your future employability, we have recently revalidated our undergraduate courses and are delighted that they have accordingly changed from a Bachelor of Arts to a Bachelor of Science. This change reflects the analytical, evidence-based, and professional skills developed throughout the course, ensuring our curriculum remains current, relevant, and aligned with emerging trends, contemporary business practice, and the skills needed for success in the modern workplace.

Dive into a world of business, finance and leadership
There are many things that contribute towards the success of a business, however the two most important are leadership and generating revenue. With BA Business Management and Finance you can build the leadership to see a business rise to success and combine it with the key finance knowledge needed to ensure its longevity. Whatever your goal, our Business Management course with a Finance pathway will equip you with the analytical tools and strategic mindset to thrive in the fast-paced world of business.

Our focus is on real-world application through business simulations, meaning you’ll dive into live case studies, briefs, competitions and projects so you can put your skills into practice. You’ll also have an opportunity to undertake a placement in your third year, allowing you to evidence your theoretical knowledge and apply to the world of work. You'll benefit from input from guest industry speakers and graduates, as well as work-based learning modules in every year of the course.

Our recent revalidation ensures you get the most timely and up-to-date business education possible. The business world is being reshaped by artificial intelligence, sustainability, and ethical pressures, and our new Business Management BSc (Hons) prepares you to lead within it, with all three themes embedded throughout every year of your degree.

Your future employability remains at the forefront of our teaching, with our course development being directly informed by professional bodies, such as the institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE). Your specific style learning sits at the core of our teaching as well, as you are now able to choose your preferred assessment format across modules, helping us cater to a more diverse range of learners, allowing you to perform at your best
