This honours degree final year is designed for people with a strong interest in the environment who would like to develop their scientific skills and knowledge base.
You can progress to this one-year programme once you have successfully completed a science-related foundation degree or equivalent qualification.
As part of this programme you will choose optional modules which allow you to specialise in your particular areas of interest choosing from wildlife crime; environmental economics and sustainability; environmental investigation; and environmental strategy and marketing.
You will also design and carry out a research project in which you will investigate specific aspects of the environment. You will study a core module in environmental impact assessment and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
This programme will also provide you with an insight into the business world and the practices of organisations involved in environmental work.
Assessment
The programme is assessed by a mixture of coursework, in-class tests and exams. During your studies you will develop a range of practical and academic skills relevant to working in the environmental sector.
