The MSc Computing for Business develops the technical, analytical, and strategic skills needed to lead in technology-driven organisations. The programme blends advanced computing knowledge with business insight, preparing students to solve complex challenges, manage digital innovation, and drive organisational success.

The research methods module underpins academic and professional development, enabling you to plan and deliver independent research that contributes to the advancement of digital technologies. Through database systems and data analytics, you will learn to manage and interrogate large datasets, transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence.

You will explore how technology is transforming financial services, gaining an understanding of the FinTech ecosystem and the tools that support innovation, regulation, and security in digital finance. You will develop advanced project management skills, learning to plan, execute, and evaluate IT and business initiatives while managing risk, change, and governance in dynamic environments.

In artificial intelligence, you will master algorithms, machine learning techniques, and the ethical implications of AI, applying these to real-world business problems. The secure computing component builds expertise in identifying vulnerabilities, applying cryptography, and implementing robust security measures across digital systems.

Dissertation enables you to demonstrate mastery in their chosen area through independent, research-led study. You will study 6 core modules of 20 credits each, followed by a 60 credit dissertation, making a total of 180 credits.
