Put yourself at the forefront of technological development with our BEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Get ready for an exciting career.
Study with us and you’ll learn how to invent, design and manage technologies and their applications. From energy and electronics to communications and network engineering, you’ll be able to choose from roles in a huge range of sectors.
With a combination of theoretical and practical learning, you’ll discover how to design electrical circuits, develop communications systems and how power distribution systems work. Begin with the fundamentals of engineering then you can specialise in areas that most interest you.
You’ll build creative, technical, analytical and decision-making skills. Study in our state-of-the-art building with a Design Centre and the Makerspace practical facility. With our Integrated Design Projects, you can work alongside mechanical and civil engineers. You’ll graduate with interdisciplinary experience ready to tackle engineering challenges in a variety of careers.

Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - Not accepted
A level - AAB
A level Mathematics required.
General Studies not normally accepted as one of the three A levels, but a good performance may be taken into account if you fail to meet the conditions of an offer marginally.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - D*D*D*
D*D*D* plus Distinction in all units required. BTEC Extended Diploma will be considered providing there is sufficient Mathematics content and applicant satisfactorily completes our Mathematics aptitude test.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 32 points
6,6,5 at Higher Level to include Mathematics with a minimum of 32 points overall.
Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)
Accepted in place of a non-required A level with the equivalent grade.
Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal
Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D2 = A*; D3 = A; M2 = B. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)
