Religious traditions and movements play a strong role in shaping contemporary societies, and are shaped, in turn, by them. The Global Religion and Society MA invites you to explore how religion, society, politics and culture interact with each other in diverse settings around the world.
You will develop your expertise with internationally leading scholars in a department with a rich tradition of excellence in the fields of sociological, anthropological, theological and philosophical study.
With just one required module besides the dissertation, this Master’s in Global Religion and Society offers you the chance to create your own study path by choosing from a broad range of optional modules from within the department and beyond. This flexibility gives you the opportunity to develop broad expertise or to choose a specialism in a particular area, such as religion and social justice, religion in international relations, religion and ethics, or religion and health.
