Course summary
HISTORY: - The study of history is the study of change and continuity in human society through time. Glasgow offers a wide-ranging programme from medieval to modern times. We offer a broad range of courses ranging from medieval to modern times and across the globe. We provide small group teaching, a variety of assessments (including real-world tasks like policy papers and blogs) and one-to-one feedback tutorials. We host leading research centres in gender history, war studies, slavery studies, American studies and Scottish and Celtic studies.
Our teaching draws on world-leading research expertise in Scottish, British, European, U.S. and global history, Slavery studies, Gender history and War, intelligence and genocide studies.
PSYCHOLOGY:- Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour. It is about understanding how people think, act, react and interact; and how this understanding can help us, as psychologists, help people on an individual basis but also help address wider societal issues through academic endeavours and professional practice.
The possible pathways a degree in psychology can take you on are endless, such is the value of the graduate and psychological literacy and analytical skills you acquire during the degree. Our school brings together world-leading expertise in experimental psychology, cognitive science and cognitive neuroscience in order to advance the understanding of human and animal behaviour.

Currently I am on my Year Abroad in Sintra, Portugal, at a school participating in a traineeship, which is very exciting🤩. Well, let’s just say I’m aiming for somewhere between a lab genius discovering the next big breakthrough and a science communicator who makes pharmacology sound cooler than it is (and trust me, it’s pretty cool). I am passionate about science and how it can change lives in such meaningful ways and my end goal is to make medicine a bit more accessible than it is today. Outside of academics, you’ll probably find me on the basketball court or volunteering—I love working with kids and finding ways to make learning fun for them (yes, teaching can be fun!). I also juggle a few roles like being a Class Rep and basketball convener so I’m pretty familiar with what it takes to balance the chaos of uni life.
