Course summary

Computing is an integral part of our lives, both at home and in business. This programme enables you to gain knowledge and understanding of real-world computing developments, and will help you to develop the necessary practical skills through work-related learning.

You will focus on networking and security, systems design and development, programming, web services, database development, project management, problem solving and professional skills.

Throughout the course you will also be encouraged to develop your employability skills. You will replicate real-world practices by using specialised industry-standard tools and completing an industry-related project.

Successful completion of this programme provides entry to the BSc (Hons) Computing (Top-up) so that you complete a full honours degree.

Assessment method
