About the course
BA Film Production at Roehampton is a hands on, creative degree designed for students who want to develop practical filmmaking skills while understanding film as an artistic, cultural and professional practice. The course focuses on storytelling, collaboration and technical craft across the full production process.
You will gain experience in developing ideas, working on set and producing finished films, while building the creative and professional skills needed for work in the screen industries.
What you’ll study
You’ll build a solid foundation in film production theory and practice, while gaining professional skills valued across the creative industries, including visual storytelling and screen language, camera and sound techniques, directing and production processes, collaborative working practices, and critical reflection on your own creative work.

This degree prepares you for a range of roles within film, television and digital media. Graduates may go on to work in areas such as:
• Film and television production
• Directing, cinematography or sound roles
• Editing and post production
• Content creation for digital platforms
• Production coordination and media roles
