The modules are part of an integrated suite that have both formative and summative assessments built into them.
These methods include all of the following: problem based assignments, work-based projects; oral and written reports, individual and team-based exercises, experimental work, and phase tests.

Normally applicants would be expected to have the equivalent of a BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering which should include a Mathematics and Science Level 4 unit and at least two units achieved with a Merit grade or a Foundation Degree in Engineering which must include modules in Mathematics at Level 4.
