Prepare for a fulfilling career as a nurse for babies, children and young people with our accredited degree course.

Nursing really is a job for life. As a child nurse, you’ll make a difference to many people’s lives, including your own.

Study at ARU and gain the clinical knowledge, skills and confidence you need to succeed as a registered children’s nurse.

We accept A Levels, T Levels, BTECs, OCR, Access to HE and most other qualifications within the UCAS Tariff.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.

Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 2 (Issued by an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation) or Adult Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 however, a minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C, or grade 4, or above will still be required. https://www.aru.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/nursing-child

English language requirements

Applicants for whom English is not their first language and who are unable to provide evidence of being taught and examined through the medium of English are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. This can be via an Occupational English Test with a grade of C+ in writing and B in the reading, listening and speaking sections or an English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall score of 6.5 and at least a 6.0 in any of the writing, reading, listening and speaking sections.
