Do you want to learn relevant skills and knowledge to work in business?

Are you keen to study a broad range of business as well as have the chance to specialise?

The Foundation Degree in Business is a 2-year full-time programme awarded by the University of Exeter. The course development has been informed by local employers to ensure students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for the workplace, but also by academic professionals to ensure you are able to successfully progress in your studies to a full degree. The course has a strong focus on innovation and sustainability in business, with subjects ranging from Business Environment and Finance to Talent Management, Contemporary Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management and Project and Event Management.

The programme is enriched with a variety of local, national and international visits and students will be given regular opportunities to engage with a range of guest speakers from local and national industries.
Students who complete this programme have the opportunity to progress onto a Bachelors Degree top-up, such as the BA (ord) Business Management, or alternatively may choose to enter the workplace. The course is well-equipped to develop students who wish to pursue careers in a range of roles including, but not restricted to, Retail management / Human resources / Further education teaching / Marketing – social media management / Accounts management / Project Management. Some students may also wish to use the skills and knowledge developed to start their own small business or enterprise.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You will need 64 UCAS tariff points. GCSE Maths and English is required at grade C (or 4) or above (or equivalent O Level).

FACILITIES
You will have access to a learning centre with dedicated Higher Education study space. There is a refectory in Victoria House as well as a social area for Higher Education students in Business and IT.

We are unable to offer places to international students. Exeter College does not hold a CAS licence, and therefore is unable to consider applications from prospective learners who require a Student Visa. Non-UK nationals can be considered for courses as long as they already hold the Right to Study in the UK for purposes other than education.
