Psychology is a competitive field. To help you realise your career aspirations, we’ve designed this MSc with a strong focus on employability (and no need for any prior formal psychology education).

You’ll get career advice at every stage of your course. In your first term, you’ll work with the course convener to develop your personal development plan. This will help you achieve your future career goals. You may also have the opportunity to gain research experience in one of our many research laboratories within the School of Psychology. We’ll help you in your search and applications for graduate work/training opportunities during your studies and after the course finishes.

On this course, you’ll learn from passionate specialists in their fields. Their expertise supports you when you explore the core aspects of psychology:

  • developmental

  • social

  • research methods and statistics.

  • You’ll also learn about ethical considerations in psychology.

This gives you the opportunity to learn the latest skills used in the field of psychology. Working on an independent research project with a leading expert in their field, you’ll gain experience for future training opportunities.

When you graduate, you’ll have the knowledge and accreditation for training in the psychological profession that interests you most. This could include:
