Course summary
This course, validated by Oxford Brookes and delivered at Castle Combe Race Circuit, lets you engage in all aspects of motorsport engineering. You will gain the technical skills and understanding you need for future study and a career in the industry. After the course you can go on to study the BEng (Hons) (top-up) Motorsport Technology.
The College’s workshops are purpose-built, with industry-standard equipment. The College has specialist facilities including vehicle, engine and machine / fabrication workshops, a flat floor, four-wheel laser alignment ‘Super Tracker’ and weight scales. The College has great links in the industry and with Motorsport teams, keeping the qualification relevant and providing good work experience and employment opportunities.
The College’s team successfully competes at race circuits country-wide and the College currently owns a range of vehicles from a Ducati 600SS Motorcycle to two Formula Ford 1600 ‘Spectrum’ race cars.
