Course summary

This course is the first year of our BA (Hons) Music Production & Songwriting degree.

The CertHE Music Production & Songwriting is designed for aspiring songwriters, producers and composers who want to shape their musical identity, refine their craft and build towards career in the music industry. This course provides you with a grounding in the skills, confidence and industry insights you will need to find success.

You’ll learn the core principles of songwriting, from lyrical and melodic composition to creating arrangements that captivate listeners. You’ll gain experience in music production, learning how to create, produce and market your music to a professional standard.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM

Access to HE Diploma

Applicants with the Access to HE Diploma should normally have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course. Successful completion of this course requires students to gain 60 credits, with 45 credits at Level 3 and 15 credits at Level 2

Scottish Higher

These are acceptable both on their own and in combination with other qualifications. You will require a minimum of two Advanced Highers or three Highers and a maximum of 5 Scottish higher qualifications.

T Level - M

English language requirements

Some applicants may be asked to demonstrate English language at CEFR level B2. Applicants applying from the European Union

The We Are Europe Scholarship is awarded to EU applicants without settled or pre-settled status in the UK. This scholarship allows the same financial benefits as domestic students by granting EU students the home tuition fee.

To be eligible, applicants must be accepted on any of our higher education courses at our London campus.

Students with Pre-settled or Settled status in the UK should be eligible for UK Home Fees.
