Course summary

Our Information Technology for Business (with Foundation Year) course equips you with the skills you need to manage IT in a diverse and fast-changing job market.

You’ll begin with a foundation year designed to build your confidence and prepare you for degree-level study. You’ll develop essential knowledge in computing, problem-solving and business fundamentals, setting you up for success as you progress onto the full degree.

As you continue, you’ll gain a strong combination of:

  • technical knowledge

  • business understanding

  • interpersonal skills

  • project management skills.

You’ll study programming, information systems, business strategy and practical management, supported by excellent facilities and state-of-the-art technology.

In your third year, you’ll have the opportunity to take a work placement with a wide range of organisations. Many of our graduates go on to work for their placement employers.
