Guided by world-class experts, you will discover how chemistry shapes the world around us and develop your knowledge to prepare you to tackle some of the world's biggest problems, from climate change to drug discovery.
You will study fundamental concepts in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry and applications in areas such as analytical, environmental, materials and theoretical chemistry. You will develop your ability to design experiments, interpret results, and gain key mathematical skills through our chemistry-specific units.
Careers-specific support is embedded into modules, including advice on preparing CVs, creating professional social media profiles, and researching companies and sectors. You can get advice and support in applying for internships and practice interview and assessment centre skills to build up your confidence.
Your chemistry degree will prepare you for a huge range of careers that include working in data science, financial services and consultancy as well as traditional routes into the chemical industry. Our alumni have established careers with a wide range of employers, including Teach First, GlaxoSmithKline, Deloitte LLP and HM Revenue and Customs.
Think Big bursaries of 3,000 are available to support first-year international undergraduate students in this subject area.
