Islamic Finance and Artificial Intelligence for Business MSc (Taught)

This course is taught together with our partner institution Al-Maktoum College. You will have full access to both institutions and the resources and opportunities.

This collaboration gives your degree the depth of our traditional knowledge, and the expertise of Al-Maktoum in Islamic banking and finance and Islamic studies.

You will study a combination of four core Islamic Finance modules and three AI-focused modules.

The Islamic Finance modules provide a deep understanding of:

• Islamic moral economy

• business ethics

• Shari’ah-compliant financial instruments

• prototyping for Islamic financial products

In the AI modules you will explore:

• how generative AI can drive business analytics

• the societal impacts of AI

• its role in corporate innovation, global business strategy

• achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals

This Master's degree is a unique mix of Islamic Finance and Artificial Intelligence. You will graduate with a stand-out qualification in a cutting edge area of industry.

You will build practical insights and theoretical foundations in both areas. You will be able to blend them together, and go on to make a meaningful impact in finance and beyond.

An optional internship is available on this programme, which gives you the opportunity to gain real world work experience while you complete the programme.
The Internship takes place over 8-weeks in the summer, and is completed abroad, or can be done online from home.
