Are you passionate about film production and storytelling? From screenwriting to film theory, this (BA Hons) Digital Film Production degree offers a practical understanding of the entire film production spectrum and focuses on building industry connections. Through hands-on training and access to cutting-edge technologies, this course will give you the skills and experience to produce innovative film shorts, features, commercials and documentaries.

Led by production and broadcast experts with extensive industry experience, the course offers a blend of practice and theory-based learning, including lectures, workshops, seminars and self-directed study.

Throughout the course, you will focus on developing craft skills and industry awareness, with production projects requiring collaboration, with students beyond this course, and enhancing contextual understanding. You will also attend employability workshops, building your CV and online profile, and learning how to manage, protect and commercially exploit your talent and intellectual property.

In the final year, you will be encouraged to continue collaborating, but in a self-directed mode, deploying your practice through a Final Major Project aligned with your career aspirations. Critical thinking will deepen through a Professional Practice Research Project, making you an attractive candidate for prospective employers. With access to high-specification digital cameras, Steadicams, dolly systems, green screens and computer labs loaded with the latest digital applications for post-production editing, you will graduate with the skills and experience to excel in the film production industry.
