Course summary

Our BA Digital Marketing degree is a unique two-year fast-track programme that immerses you in real-world, professional advertising and marketing communications:

  • Digital is the shared digital media experience between brands, users, technologies and trends.

  • Marketing is how marketers add value to their brands and user experiences by fulfilling desires.

It’s a powerful mix, with industry-driven instruction in the skills you’ll need for the fast-paced digital communications sector.

You’ll be working with Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) certified lecturers and top agency talent to solve creative briefs, launch simulated marketing campaigns and build multiplatform experiences for brands and their customers.

BA Digital Marketing is employment-led, so the course teaches a practice-based, knowledge-applied approach: tutors and industry professionals work with you in classes and assignments to help you grow in your personal and professional development.

Qualification requirements

UCAS Tariff - 120 points

A level - BBB

A Level: 120 UCAS tariff points / BBB (or equivalent). AS Level: Must be in a different subject to A Levels. A maximum of four subjects will be considered.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

120 UCAS tariff points. Diploma accepted with one A Level or equivalent level 3 qualifications. Extended Certificate accepted with two A Levels or equivalent level 3 qualifications.

Access to HE Diploma

Pass with 60 credits. At least 45 credits at level 3 with 30 credits at Merit or Distinction. Accepted subjects: Information, Communication Technology and Business subjects preferred but other subjects also considered.

Scottish Higher

120 UCAS tariff points from three Advanced Highers (CCC) or two Advanced Highers (CC) plus two Highers (CC)

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

120 UCAS tariff points. Diploma accepted with one A Level or equivalent level 3 qualifications. Extended Certificate accepted with two A Levels or equivalent level 3 qualifications.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate (first teaching from September 2016)

120 UCAS tariff points. Diploma accepted with one A Level or equivalent level 3 qualifications. Extended Certificate accepted with two A Levels or equivalent level 3 qualifications.

Scottish Advanced Higher

120 UCAS tariff points from three Advanced Highers (CCC) or two Advanced Highers (CC) plus two Highers (CC)

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 30 points

Obtain a minimum of 30 points overall

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

Minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points, achieved in five Higher level subjects

GCSE/National 4/National 5

This course does not require evidence of GCSE qualifications.

T Level - M

Merit overall. All subjects accepted but Craft and Design and Media, Broadcast and Production preferred.

Welsh Baccalaureate: 120 UCAS tariff points. Considered with three A Levels or equivalent level 3 qualifications.

OCR Cambridge Technical qualifications: 120 UCAS tariff points.

NCFE CACHE Level 3 qualifications: 120 UCAS tariff points.

WJEC Level 3 qualifications: 120 UCAS tariff points. Considered with two A Levels or equivalent level 3 qualification(s).

UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma: Merit overall.

Foundation Studies (Art and Design, and Art, Design and Media): Considered with a maximum of three other level 3 qualifications to obtain 120 points.

Additional fee information

The Government is proposing to increase the cap on tuition fees for accelerated courses to £11,750 for 2026/27 and the University is planning on increasing fees to that maximum level once legislation is enacted.
