Summary
Entrepreneurship is about more than starting a business. It is about seeing opportunities, solving problems and creating value in a changing world. At Southampton, you will explore how entrepreneurial thinking shapes organisations, economies and society.

This degree combines business management with a focus on entrepreneurship, giving you the knowledge and practical skills to turn ideas into action. You will learn how to plan, promote, finance and grow a venture, whether you want to start your own business or bring new thinking into an existing organisation.

You will explore areas such as digital business models, technological innovation and digital marketing, alongside core topics including financial and management accounting. Your learning is shaped by research-led academics with strong industry connections, giving you insight into innovative companies and entrepreneurial networks in both London and Southampton.

We normally consider applicants who offer at least 1 Advanced Higher. Applicants presenting with only Highers will be considered on a case by case basis. Where Highers are taken over two years it might be expected that higher grades are achieved, particularly in any specific subjects required. For example, S5 – S6 (2 years): AABBB (A in specific subject) or S6 (1 year): ABBBB (A in specific subject).

Unless a more advanced level (Higher or Advanced Higher) is specified in the stated entry requirements, all applicants will be required to have achieved a pass in Mathematics and English at Standard Grade, Grade 3 or National 5, Grade C, the equivalent of GCSE Grade C/ Grade 4"

Applicants may also be asked to achieve a specific grade in those elements.

The University of Southampton values the Extended Project Qualification. If you are taking an EPQ in addition to 3 A levels, you will receive the following offer in addition to the standard A-level offer:

Applicants must hold GCSE English language (or GCSE English) (minimum grade 4/C) and mathematics (minimum grade 6*/B).

* Grade 5 in mathematics (in the new reformed GCSE's) can be accepted if an applicant has grade B in A levels Maths, Physics, Economics, Geography, Psychology or Business.

Please note we cannot accept a grade 5 in mathematics if you are studying other qualifications, the requirement is a grade 6.

OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma in Business is accepted if combined with one suitable A level with grade A. If your OCR is not in Business, we strongly suggest you contact us before applying.

OCR Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma

OCR Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma in Business is accepted if combined with two suitable A levels with grade A's.

OCR Cambridge Technical Certificate

AQA Level 3 Technical Level (720 glh)

We welcome applicants with other qualifications eg. European Baccalaureate. You will be expected to attain an equivalent standard to the A level applicant.
