PGCE Secondary - Art (QTS)
You don’t have to be an Artist to fulfil the dream of becoming an Art Teacher – the emphasis is about inspiring others to see the unexpected and raise open-ended questions on Art Works! The focus within our Art Secondary PGCE programme is to develop inquisitive and venturesome Art Teachers. You will apply to lectures, seminars and observational and teaching experience which will equip you with rich skills to collaborate, lead, respond and prepare challenging lessons as a creative and innovative Art Teacher.
Here at Bangor, we will ensure that you have the qualities needed to not only be an outstanding Art Teacher, but also a teacher of the Expressive Arts, by giving you the opportunity to explore other aspects of the Curriculum for Wales, to give you a firm focus to prepare and plan rich and exciting lessons.
Bangor is a fantastic place for anyone interested in outdoor activities. Our location, combined with our long-established links with local outdoor education providers, provides a fantastic opportunity for combining this subject with outdoor activities during your training.
