Course summary

The MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering with a Year in Industry course enables you to refine specialist skills alongside pioneering research interests within Engineering. Your learning will reflect the modern demands of the electronics industry.

Over the course of your studies, you will develop hands on experience with industry standard equipment, including tools such as the scanning tunnelling microscope for atomic scale probing and the HP4124 parameter analyser for testing power devices. You will also build a solid understanding of prototyping and production methods by working with advanced components and learning how to construct and evaluate models of modern manufacturing techniques. By the end of the programme, you will feel confident discussing, analysing and comparing product lifetime management solutions, and understanding how these approaches influence different engineering and technology sectors.
