Course summary

This course provides a comprehensive coverage of the fundamental principles underlying agricultural production systems. It provides a practical and scientific knowledge base to underpin a career in the agricultural or related industries. The facilities provide an extensive range of industry standard equipment, resources and livestock developed with employers to meet the exacting demands of modern Agricultural standards and processes. Bridgend College has an array of on-site resources to deliver the course, including 110 acres of pasture land. Agreements have also been procured with 3 local farms to ensure constant access to a variety of livestock and farming systems. The College is situated in the heart of some of the most productive agricultural ground in South Wales. Pencoed campus boasts a purpose built teaching block including IT suites and practical workshops, a Library and Learning Resource Centre.
