The Clinical and Community Psychology course is exceptional in its approach to learning and making a positive impact. It gives you unparalleled access to real services and community partners. This means you have a unique opportunity to focus on the practical aspects of your studies in both clinical psychology and community work. Through partnerships and voluntary schemes, you can engage with local community groups and the NHS, gaining first-hand experience. You can work towards bringing about positive change in the lives of vulnerable and marginalised individuals.
You will:
look at the complex interplay between societal factors and personal well-being and learn how to use clinical psychology tools to critically examine and understand how society shapes and influences our lives.
develop a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations and the underlying social issues that contribute to their difficulties.
What is clinical psychology at UEL all about?
The course curriculum focuses on theoretical concepts and research but emphasises the practical application of knowledge.
