This foundation degree in photography course brings together creative photographic skills and academic study, allowing you to express your creativity and communicate ideas through photography.

This Photography Foundation Degree will allow you to explore and develop expertise in photography that will enable you to turn your passion and creativity into a career path. You will acquire professional digital and photography skills alongside a knowledge of photographic history and practice.

The course involves two years of study at Crosskeys Campus after which you will gain a Level 5 FDa qualification. The course also allows you to progress onto a ‘top up’ year to complete your third year of study, and to achieve a full BA Hons.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

Applicants should normally have three GCSEs at grade C or above/grade 4 or above to include English Language and Maths. For Welsh applicants we will accept either GCSE Mathematics or Mathematics-Numeracy.
Five Scottish National 5 subjects at grade C or above to include English Language and Maths.

Please note that if you do not meet the grade criteria, then age and experience may be able to be taken into consideration.
