Facilities

You’ll be taught at our City Campus in the heart of Nottingham, and specifically the Barnes Wallis building – a newly refurbished space dedicated to our Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication students.

Modules

You will study four core modules and choose two 20 credit optional modules.

Core modules - Term one

  • International Fashion Management (40 credit points)
  • The Fashion Industry (20 credit points)
  • Culture and Collaboration (20 credit points)

Optional modules - Term Two

  • Industry Practice (20 credit points)
  • Creative Enterprise in Fashion (20 credit points)
  • Studio Practice (20 credit points)
  • Professional Practice (20 credit points)
  • Advancing Research Design: Maximising Your Methods (20 credit points)

Core modules - Term Three

  • Personal Project (60 credit points)

Assessment method

We know people excel in different ways, so our assessments are designed to be inclusive and varied. While the course is 100% coursework, you’ll experience a mix of formats—from written reports and individual presentations to group projects, creative concepts, and collaborative outcomes. Your learning journey culminates in your Personal Project, where you choose a pathway that suits your ambitions: a dissertation, a strategic business or marketing plan, or a creative output.

How to apply

International applicants

English language requirements If English isn't your first language, you need to show us that your language skills are strong enough for intensive academic study. You can check our language requirements and list of accepted English language tests. Your British Council office can tell you where you can take an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test locally. Applicants who have taken a higher degree at a UK university don't usually have to meet this requirement.

Academic entry requirements: 2.2 honours degree.

Other requirements: You are asked to use your personal statement to illustrate your knowledge and perspective on an aspect of the fashion industry.

This should be related to the course and could include product development, supply chain, marketing, forecasting, consumer behaviour or the financial aspects of fashion as well as many other topics.
