Course overview
This course is designed to give you a broad range of knowledge and experience in the business and financial sectors. While there is an emphasis on finance areas, it is a varied programme suitable if you wish to develop a number of business skills. It is over three days a week, or four if you take the AAT option.
As part of this course there is an option to become a fully qualified accounts technician through the AAT. There would be no additional tuition fees to study the AAT Level 2/3 Diploma alongside your HND in year one and the Level 3/4 AAT Diploma in year two, depending on prior qualifications and experience.

Students can progress onto the final year of the BA (Hons) Business Management at GCS.

Year 1 (Level 4) modules: • the management of financial information • becoming a professional; critical enquiry • entrepreneurship and business start-up • economics, law and business environment • people, work and society • marketing and consumer behaviour

Year 2 (Level 5) modules: • accounting for managers •managing people in a global workplace • creative marketing communications • strategic business analysis • live research project • the digital workplace.

Assessment method

Assessment is by assignment, presentations, case studies and examinations.
