Master the skills and tools required to build indie and AAA games across all genres. From hyper-casual puzzles to immersive VR experiences, you’ll get the opportunity to develop games that entertain, inspire and challenge. You’ll dive into art, design, audio, visual scripting, the technical and theoretical aspects of game design and production.
With a hands-on approach and close industry connections, we’ll equip you with the skills to build a professional portfolio alongside a creative mindset to allow you to step into a role in the games industry.

Year 1
Master game development fundamentals with Unreal Engine 5, bringing your ideas to life through Blueprints and interactive worlds. Build your skills in 3D modeling with Autodesk Maya and sound design with MetaSounds to create immersive environments. Work on hands-on projects like game jams and escape room creation, developing your design and prototyping abilities. As you dive into level design, learn how to create engaging player experiences, focusing on structure, pacing, and gameplay mechanics to craft fun and balanced levels.

The following entry points are available for this course:
A T Level qualification in Digital Production, Design and Development is preferred.
Pass with 45 credits at Merit or higher.
Applications are accepted from students in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, and other students who would not require a Student Visa to study in the UK.
Entry requirements for students joining after Year 1:
Entry to year 2 (Level 5) requires successful completion of 120 credits at Level 4 of a comparable undergraduate programme.
Entry to year 3 (Level 6) requires successful completion of 240 credits across Level 4 and 5 of a comparable undergraduate programme.
An interview will also be conducted to assess your suitability for the course.

This course is awarded by Kingston University London. It is delivered under a subcontracted arrangement with Kingston University as the lead provider and Boomsatsuma as the delivery provider.
