Course summary
The purpose of the two-year, part-time Higher National Certificate in Building Services Engineering for England is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the construction and the built environment sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualification aims to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake it.
The course builds underpinning core skills and prepares students for progressing their career in industry or for further specialisation through study at Level 5. Students gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study, directed study and workplace scenarios.
