Course summary

Our International Festival & Event Management course has a 94% overall student satisfaction score (National Student Survey, 2023).

You'll learn how to plan, design, market, operate and develop events, as well as how these events can be used to help local economies and communities. With options of a 24-week work placement and study abroad, this course offers excellent preparation for your career in festivals and events management.

The programme has a number of compulsory and optional modules that feature throughout the duration of the course: these include options in marketing, entrepreneurship, tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MMM

Minimum grades MMM (Merit, Merit, Merit) in a related subject.

Access to HE Diploma - D: 6 credits M: 39 credits

Pass Access to HE Diploma in a related subject with 45 credits overall with minimum 39 Credits at Merit & 6 Distinction.

Scottish Higher - BBBC

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MM

National Diploma D*D (Distinction* Distinction) or MM (Merit, Merit) and A Level grade C

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 27 points

Award of Diploma with 27 points overall with three HL subjects at grades 6, 5, 4.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H2, H3, H3, H3

Grades H2, H3, H3, H3 at Higher Level.

Scottish HNC - Pass

Other HNC subjects may be considered for year 1 entry where a C in the graded unit is achieved.

T Level - P

With grade C or above in the core component.

Minimum Year 2 Entry Requirements

HNC - Pass in Events/Events Management/Music Business with B in the graded unit.

SQA Advanced Higher - BBC

A Level - BBB

Minimum Year 3 Entry Requirements

HND - Pass in Events/Events Management/ Music Business with Grades B at SCQF Level 8 in the graded units.

Scottish Higher - BCCC
