Perfect your artistic skills in an intensive year of study, training, and endless creative freedom.
You've already built your creative foundations. Now, you’ll join the third year of our Fine Art degree to develop your technical skills, find your artistic voice, and experiment with materials – to determine the kind of creator you want to become.
You’ll train, learn, and develop in studios that have taught artists for more than a century, where everyone – from technicians to librarians to tutors – understands and appreciates the creative practice. There's no house style here, you can go in whatever direction you want to. Painting, sculpture, performance, film, installation, site-specific work – the form your art takes is yours to decide.
Your year builds towards a major project and degree show where you’ll take over studios, galleries, hallways, and outdoor spaces to present your work to the public. And by being in Canterbury – you’ll be within easy reach of world-class inspiration: Margate's Turner Contemporary, the Folkestone Triennial, London's galleries, and mainland Europe.
