Economics helps us understand the world, shaping everything from global markets to public policy. Manchester Met’s BSc (Hons) Economics equips you with analytical and quantitative skills to interpret complex economic systems and tackle real-world challenges using data-driven solutions.

You will build a foundation in microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics and global economic history while developing critical thinking skills. You will also apply statistical modelling, conduct financial evaluations and analyse modern capitalism.

You’ll be taught by research-active academics who bring cutting-edge insights and practical experience to the classroom. Based in Manchester, a major economic and financial hub, the course offers strong industry links across banking, consulting, finance, and the public sector, opening doors to networking, internships, and career opportunities.

Whether your goal is shaping economic policy, advising global institutions, or working in finance or tech, this degree provides a rigorous academic foundation and practical experience to make an impact.
