Why Sports Therapy?
This contemporary, accredited course, is designed to make you industry-ready, preparing you to work as an innovative, evidence-based, graduate sports therapist. Led by our variety of highly qualified experts, the course delivers a full set of competencies, allowing you to examine, assess, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal injuries.

The teaching team have various professional backgrounds, and bring their understanding of patients at all levels in sport, health and community into their teaching. This includes elite sport, public and private health, the military and community settings.

On this Society of Sports Therapists accredited course, you will learn injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation skills, to return individuals to full participation. With a focus on opportunity, employability and business entrepreneurship, the comprehensive curriculum enables you to combine theory, hands-on experience, critical reflection and professional judgement, as you learn to excel in the latest techniques in Sports Therapy.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with touring international teams. Students have previously worked with Tonga and Samoa Rugby Union and Team Malawi Olympic athletes. They also gain experience with medicine professionals such as sports doctors, orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists and chiropractors. Treat athletes from our professional sports teams, international sports scholars and members of the public including local firefighter and police officers. Learn in fully-equipped ped sports therapy suites, physiology and biomechanics labs, with gold-standard equipment such as fully-body vacuum mattresses, diagnostic ultrasound, RS footscan, body-pod, Vicon 3D motion analysis.
