This programme focuses on numerical methods and the physics and computation modelling of turbulence. It will enhance your knowledge of flow physics and your ability to use state-of-the-art computational tools to improve industrial designs.
Ideally suited for engineering, mathematics and science graduates with a strong background in fluid dynamics or aerodynamics, our this programme will prepare you for further research or a career in industrial research and development.
Compulsory modules include: Aerothermodynamics; Computational Aerodynamics; Applications of CFD; Turbulence; MSc Research Project
Optional modules include: Advanced Computational Methods I, Aeroacoustics; Data-Driven Methods for Flow Analysis and Control; Design, Search and Optimisation (DSO) - Principles, Methods, Parameterizations and Case Studies ; Experimental Methods for Aerodynamics; Hypersonic and High Temperature Gas Dynamics; Introduction to Machine Learning; Race Car Aerodynamics; Numerical Methods

This course has a subject classification which requires students whose nationality is outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland to have an ATAS certificate, irrespective of country of residence at the point of application.
