Course summary

The BSc Finance programme is an innovative interdisciplinary course designed with the industry employability needs in mind. Three flexible pathways, namely Investment Banking, Business Management, and Data Science, have been built into the curriculum, enabling students to tailor their studies to suit their personal interests and career aspirations. Students will develop a well-balanced understanding across finance, accounting, economics, econometrics, management and data science and gain insight into recent technological developments in the industry.

A level - AAB

Excluding General Studies. Mathematics at Grade B required.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDD

Applicants studying a BTEC Extended Diploma are also required to achieve a Grade B at A Level in Mathematics.

Access to HE Diploma - D: 30 credits M: 15 credits

Pass the Access to HE Diploma with 30 L3 credits at Distinction grade and 15 L3 credits at Merit grade.To include 12 L3 credits at Merit Grade in an acceptable Mathematics subject area. Please also see our GCSE requirements.

Scottish Higher - AAABB

Mathematics at Grade B required.

Scottish Advanced Higher - ABB

Mathematics at Grade B required.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 34 points

Applicants will be considered with IB34 or 665 in three Higher level subjects. All applicants will be required to have Grade 5 in HL Maths (Analysis and approaches or Applications and interpretations). Maths Studies is not accepted.

English language requirements

GCSE English Language with a minimum pass of Grade C or 4.
