Our professionally accredited Civil Engineering MEng Honours degree includes an additional year of Master's-level study, which deepens your knowledge and provides the basis for registering as a Chartered Engineer. You'll learn about the infrastructure that underpins our quality of life, and develop a strong understanding of how society might address global challenges such as climate change, population growth and resource scarcity.

45 level 3 credits at Distinction in a relevant area of engineering or physical science. At least 15 credits should be in mathematics (including differential and integral calculus). Other units should include analytical engineering sciences (e.g. mechanical or electrical science/principles, physics, chemistry, materials science, electronics).

Scottish Higher

Scottish Advanced Higher
AAB

AAB at Advanced Higher including Mathematics. Two Highers at the required grade (in different subjects to those offered at Advanced Higher) may replace a third Advanced Higher.
Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.

34 points overall including Mathematics at Higher Level grade 6.

Extended Project

We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.
