This course is taught at New College Swindon, and City of Oxford College for teaching assistants and learning support assistants. If you have completed a Foundation Degree in either Early Years or Educational Practice, this course will enable you to gain an honours degree to enhance your professional practice and provide opportunities for career development in education and training.

Modules

On this course you will learn more about yourself as a learner and as a professional. This will help you to take responsibility for your future learning and continuing professional development and to engage in lifelong learning with confidence. You will extend your knowledge and understanding of the world of education and skills, examining current issues and debates and finding out more about what influences education and professional practice. Your understanding of excellent classroom practice and supporting learning will increase and you will be able to review local practice in the light of new understanding of practice in wider national and international contexts.
