Our Nursing Associate (FdSc) foundation course is ideal for people who want to work as a nursing associate or want to progress onto a nursing degree, whether this is your first or second career.

This career will see you working with registered nurses and other healthcare professions to deliver patient care.

You will gain a range of practical skills and the underpinning knowledge to make a real difference to the quality of life and care of people of all ages and in a wide range of healthcare settings. The skills you will develop include:

You will gain experience in a variety of settings, focusing equally on theory and practice learning.

If you choose the placement option, you can spend your third year on a work placement. During your placement there is a fee which is paid to the university. It covers the cost of your placement tutor, and the support we provide whilst looking for a placement position and during your placement role.

The module fee listed is applicable for part time study.
