Why Law?
Explore the fundamental principles of law in England and Wales on a law degree designed to enable prospective lawyers to obtain the legal knowledge, skills and attributes needed to pursue a career in law, aligned with professional standards.

Our law courses are ranked 1st in the UK for teaching satisfaction by the Guardian University Guide 2025, and scored 97% for academic support in the National Student Survey 2025.

You’ll take part in engaging and stimulating teaching through our interactive and challenging teaching sessions. You’ll obtain knowledge and skills in key areas of the Law of England and Wales as well as gaining an insight into international law. You can also specialise in a range of subjects including family law, company law, intellectual property law and human rights depending on your area of interest.

Course Modules

You will gain solid grounding in the key areas such as legal methods and skills, constitutional law, criminal law and property law. You can also specialise in a range of subjects including family law, media and entertainment law, company law and human rights, depending on your area of interest. Through lectures, seminars and group work, you'll put your learning to the test in class debates and mooting sessions.
