BA (Hons) Digital Film and TV Production [Top-Up]

This one-year Top-Up course is designed for students who have already developed core skills in film and media production and are ready to advance their creative and technical practice to a professional level.

Building on your previous experience, you’ll work on industry-focused projects that reflect current practices within film, television, and digital content creation. You’ll explore storytelling, production techniques, and audience engagement, while developing your own creative voice as a filmmaker.

A key aspect of the course is working to professional briefs. You’ll have the opportunity to create content in response to real or simulated client requirements, developing your ability to produce work that is both creatively engaging and commercially relevant.

The course culminates in a major production project, where you will take on significant responsibility within the production process. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you will develop and deliver a high-quality piece of work that showcases your skills and creative vision.

Alongside this, you’ll build a professional portfolio, including showreels and production work, and undertake an independent research project linked to your interests within the industry.

By the end of the course, you will have developed the technical expertise, creative confidence, and professional awareness required to progress into careers across film, television, and digital media.
